HP OfficeJet Pro 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Brand new HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 connected to my older HP Laptop out of the box, no problem.  Printed great for two days.  Left the printer on for a day and didn't use it so it was in sleep mode.  Tried to print tonight and computer was telling me I was offline.  I went through several steps found on this website to rectify the problem, got stuck on a step, decided to remove the drivers and try and reinstall, and now when I search for my product on this site it does not find the 8710.  Tried to manally install the drivers with the disc that came with printer, but of course my computer is not reading it or something.. it just spins and spins and spins.

I don't have a clue of what to do!  Please help me.  I have a customer presentation in the morning and no way to get my documents unless this printer will work!!  I'm desperate.

Running the diagnostics at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue.  Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

I'm trying to manually add the device and my computer will not find it! But I can print out from my phone, but it's super slow. Anyone, please?!

The full featured driver can be downloaded from HP here.

Is your printer connected wirelessly?  The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help.

If the printer is connected to your network find the IP address for the printer as shown on page 109 of the user manual here.  Once you have the IP address put this into your browser.  Does this open the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS)?  If so the printer is on the same network and is properly communicating with the computer.

Yes wireless. I have tried everything in the trouble shotting , nothing is working. Even tried to start from scratch, no go.

I tried the EWS, does not open. Gives me an error online using multiple browsers. How do I fix this? Is there a # I can call? I don't think I'm going to be able to fix this myself. Can't find a # anywhere, unbelievable.

If your computer cannot open the IP address of the printer it may be becase some other device is connected in direct wireless mode, or the printer is connected to a different network.

Hi,

Have you tried rebooting your router? allow it 3 minutes to restart and reboot the printer too.

Once the wireless connection establish swipe your finger down from the top of the screen and press the wireless icon, Can you now access the shown IP from your browser?

If not, please verify the shown SSIA on this screen matched the SSID shown on your PC and ensure your PC didn't wrongly connected to another nearby network by any chance..
