HP Officejet Pro 8720
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I'm scanning for the first time on the HP Officejet Pro 8720 (or 8725) but when I scan using the feeder on top some page's go upside down. I have tested again but the first page is upside down, the second and third as they should be. I'm putting the papers with the text to me and facing the HP-logo just like the example-image. I'm scanning using the screen on the printer. What I'm doing wrong?HPSJDocFeed2.JPG

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing issues with scanning from the ADF of your HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-in-One Printer wherein the scanned page is upside down.

This issue could occur if the firmware is not updated.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Firmware Update

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

The update says that the printer is up to date. I can't update it of this reason.

I also have the problem using HP scan on the pc but I'm than able to adjust the page's manually in the software but I would like that it's good using the scan on the screen of the printer.

I understand that the issue has not resolved after following the steps mentioned in the previous interaction.

This could be a hardware issue with the unit.

Hence, please contact HP Phone Support for further assistance at the link: www.hp.com/contacthp
