Greetings @YSchewel,

Thanks for accessing the HP Support Forums for extra support! I see that the printed documents look like negatives. I would be happy to help you.

If you are also having this issue when printing applications from the computer, try this document: Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues.

If you are just having the issue printing from online, try another browser to see if you have the same results.

If this helps you to reach a solution, please click the "Accept as Solution" button. If you wish, to say thanks for my effort to help, click the "Thumbs Up" to give me a Kudos. Please let me know the outcome. Have a nice day!

The section Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues  does not address when the printer prints the negative (i.e. background black, letters white) so it was not helpful at all

Hi @YSchewel,

What application are you using? (Chrome)

Did you try another browser?

Are you getting this issue from all applications?

Print a self-test to see if you have the same results:

  1. On the product control panel, press the Setup button ( ).

  2. Press the Down Arrow ( ) to highlight Reports, and then press OK.

  3. Press the Down Arrow ( ) to highlight Supplies Status page, and then press OK to print the page.

If you don't it is an application or a driver issue.

Thanks!

If it is the driver or application, how do I fix that? It is doing it from Chrome as well as IE. THe supply status page printed normal.

Hi YSchewel,

I did come across this forum on this issue, you may take a look at.

Invert the screen.

It is a setting in the browser. You might have to contact Google Chrome for support to see if they can help you out.

Thanks!
