Hello!

I have a a quick question

Many times I get a FAX but I don't know that's a fax from the first time so I pick up the headphone. Then I hear the beep tone from the FAX but I'm missing it because I've already picked up the headphone. Is there any way, any key combination to switch the call to FAX??

Thanks in advance!!

If you have an answering machine on the same line as the fax, set the Rings -to-Answer (for fax pickup) to one more than the number of rings used by the answering machine.

If you have an extension phone (without an answering machine) on the line, set the Fax Recv.Setup.

Both methods are explained in the User Guide, starting on page 46

Sections:

  • Configure for an Ansering Machine
  • Configure for an extension phone

"Number of rings" and "Recv.Setup" both assume you have the rest of the fax setup parameters in place for your machine.
