Have unloaded paper spool and unplugged.

I would load the latest firmware onto a usb stick, plug it in and boot the machine up, hopefully it will recognize it and load it properly.

SAME ISSUE:

LED's on formatter ( I - flashing, II - on, III - on)

HP told me that the Interconnect needs changing only if 08:11 or blank control panel.

Formatter lights indicated that issue would be Interconnect board - replaced but no change and could not enter diagnostic mode.

Replaced Main PCA / PSU assembly - still getting 08:11 error and only 1% initialization.

I believe my next attack has to be with formatter/HDD but would like confirmation?

I had similar issue 3 tiimes this week but could repair the other 2 without incident or parts.

(reseat formatter or initialize without consumables took care of it)

Roy

Did you try the firmware on usb at startup. Perhaps with all that has gone wrong the firmware is now corrupt. Worth a shot since it cost nothing.

Hi,

Try resetting the connectors on the Interconnect board, also the ones going to the front panel.

Roy,

Are you still having this problem. I am experiencing the same thing right now.

Hi,

I have the same issue with an HP DesignJet T1100ps.

Unfortunately it seems there is no USB service port, only a USB (type B) port for connections to PC...

Where is the firmware saved to? On the HDD? If something went wrong during upgrading the firmware and it is now corrupt, would it be possible to put the firmware manually onto the HDD?

Hi,

On your T1100, try to turn the printer off, reset the formatter, turn the printer on. If the problem persist you will need to replace the formatter.

On a few cases, reseating the cable on the back of the front panel fix the issue.

Best regards

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the quick response.

How should I reset the formatter?

(There is no USB service port.)

Best regards

The formatter sits on the back left side of the printer.  Power down at the front panel and rear power switch.  Disconnect the power cord, ethernet cable.
