Hi, I have a HP Photosmart C4683 printer. When I print photos the ink stays wet for a long time e.g.. I printed photos on Monday and they are still wet today Friday. I use the genuine cartridge and HP photo paper. I have tried different papers but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I use the photos for scrap booking and it looks bad if the ink smudges. Can someone please help?

Hi,

Can you tell me what type of Photo paper did you use? "HP Premium Photo", "HP Advance Photo"...

Hi Mal Lin,

I'm trying to find out from the web which photo paper is supported for your printer. However, I can't seem to find the list.

In the print settings -> "Media" selection, do you see "Hp advance photo" or "Hp Premium inkjet" in the drop down list.

I recommend to use "HP advance photo" or "HP premium inkjet"

HP Everyday photo has some smudges issue. I've experienced it myself. I can't tell whether Fujifilm super glossy is supported.

Before printing, please choose the matching media in the print settings.

Hope that helps.

Hi, I found that it hlped to use the Premium or Advanced photo paper as I was adviced by the reply I received.

Hope this helps you. I know it can be very frustrating when the ink stays wet. Good luck!

I have a Hp Deskjet 1050 all-in-one printer.  The photo is almost reverse color--light colors instead of dark, besides the wet ink.  Printing on plain paper works fine.  I am jsining the same phot paper as always.  First time problem.
