Hello,
We are doing scientific research and need to print as thin lines as possible to use them as scale reference.
Specifications for inkjets 2400dpi says the minumum guaranteed line width is 0,07112mm.
OK it could be good enough but how to actually print the line with only one ink dot thickness ? How to force the printer to print out exactly the thinnest line possible when its actually very specific width 0,07112mm. Should we use raster image with 600ppi and use black line of 1 pixel so that printer prints it the thinnesst possible? because 600ppi (2400dpi when divided by 4) is not exactly 0,07112mm rather than 0,0423mm or for 1200dpi printers 0,0846mm. What strategy to choose to print the thinnest line physically possible by a printer? Before printing every image is rasterized by RIP but how to achieve rasterization as wished to obtain that promised 0,07112mm?
Actually which printer type is most suitable for achieving thinnest lines even below 0,07112mm ? Is it possible by any means?
