HP Deskjet 3630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to print page 1 of this PDF below, but it will not print on any of our home computers running windows 10 and talking to our HP Deskjet 3630 printer:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15033786/lesson.pdf

The behaviour we are seeing is that either the page comes out blank, or the printer gets an error and the orange light starts flashing.

If I instead print page 4, it works fine.

I have tried printing page 1 multiple times, from different computers and I haven't been able to get it to print.

I am printing it from Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Hi,

I assume it might be related with the used font.

Try clicking the Advanced button within the print dialog and check the buox next to Print as Image, then click OK.

Now try printing and check for any difference.

Hope that may help,

Shlomi

It does appear that "Print as Image" works around the problem (by sending bitmaps to the printer), but it seems to me that the non-image printing is quite broken on this printer, would you agree?

For example, my daughter also has an editable PDF file where she fills in textual sections for her school assignment.

Her assignment is here:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15033786/History%20U2%20sheet%209%20assesment%20task.pdf

On HP Deskjet 3630, if I print her file, with the "Documents and Markups" you can see her marked up text in the page preview in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, but if you print it, it prints without the text.

However, if I print it exactly the same way to the "Microsoft Print to PDF" printer, then it comes out with the text.  If I then print the resulting output new PDF file that the microsoft print to pdf printer produces to the HP Deskjet 3630, then it prints out fine.

I've never seen this sort of behaviour on any other printer.
