Not what I am trying to do.

I need to remove the Toner cartridge draw so I can remove the itb/etb and clean out the inside of the printer.

OK, I thought that might be what you wanted to know.  Here is something to try.  Please provide a very small flat bladed screwdriver.  Best to take out the toner cartridges and put them on a flat surface somewhere while doing the rest.  Pull the toner drawer completely out till it stops.  Now the tricky part.  slide the blade of the screwdriver GENTLY along the top of the railing and under the small plastic part that is on the back (I like the left) of the engine that is guiding the rail.  Wiggle the screwdriver and press up GENTLY with the blade under the front edge of the lock while slightly pulling on the tray.  With a bit of manipulation, it should at some point release and rotate slightly to the side.  the other side should then just slide out and the tray will come out.  Putting it back in is very simple, if you slide it back into what looks like in place, it will snap back in.

NOTE:  This is probably NOT a recommended HP procedure, so you are on your own.  Be very gentle (3rd mention is a charm).  It is a very light spring latch, so don't apply a lot of pressure, you just have to get the screwdriver under the right place while pressing up to clear the latch.  Dovid

One more point you might like -

I have worked on the next family up in the HP printer line but NOT on this  printer, so I am NOT sure of this, but in most of this class of printer, the ITB can be removed out the back of the printer without removing the toner tray.  Again this is NOT a customer recommended procedure (but neither was using non-HP cartridges ((;-)>.  )  There is one screw holding down a bar that might need to be moved out of the way (don't drop the screw!!).  The ITB might then be lifted by wiggling the front and the back and removed out that way for cleaning the area.  Dovid

Final note - found a 1515. the small plastic part I noted to use the screwdriver under is actually a clip on the inside of the machine - use the screwdriver CAREFULLY to pop front edge of clip. ITB needs tray removed to be removed. Sorry for any earlier confusion.
