I just purchased the HP Envy 5530 printer so I could take advantage of the Instant Ink program. I need to be able to print on 110 lb carstock, but so far, I'm having nothing but issues and printer jams. Is it possible to use heavy weight cardstock in this printer?

I just perused the on-line docs, and found a link that showed supported paper:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03742581

In "Paper tray capacities", for Photo Paper it lists a max of 75lbs:

Up to 280 g/m² (75 lb bond)

So I think you will not be able to print on 110lb cardstock.

thanks,

Hi, just wondering if the reply from @Ladd_W  solved the issue?

I also had the same problem with the HP ENVY 5530.  The 110lb barely goes through the printer but I'm afraid my printer might get damaged.  I tried printing invitations that were a bit heavier than the 110lb and all I did was waste ink.  Never got it to print correctly.  I thought I had purchased a good printer 😞

Unfortunately, this particular printer can only print on 110lbs Index cards, 75lbs photo paper, and 24lbs regular paper. Heavy cardstock capabilities is difficult to find in all-in-one printers.

Thank you, now I know.
