officejet 4630
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

When i'm using word, there is a problem with truetype font. The printer doesn't print the letters properly. What can i do to solve this? I'm using the latest software! I also did the latest update.

The OfficeJet 4630 printer only supporets the PCL 3 GUI Page Description Language, so it doesn't understand TrueType fonts, or their PCL5/6 equivalents.

What this means in practice is that the source document application (e.g. Word), in conjunction with the Officejet 4630 printer driver, will convert all text into (proprietary-format) encapsulated, compressed, raster images, which the printer can 'understand'.

This process usually occurs fairly seamlessly, but problems can occur if the TrueType fonts used by the source document do not fully adhere to the standards expected by the Windows sub-systems involved.

So is the problem only noticed with certain fonts?

Is text printed OK with 'standard' fonts (e.g. Courier, Arial)?

Hello,

it's only with truetype fonts.

Normal fonts as comic, arial, ... doesn't give any problem, that's normal...

And even if i make a pdf-file of the document, the printing problem is still going on!

I don't understand your reply.
As far as I'm aware, the Comic Sans MS and Arial fonts are themselves TrueType / OpenType fonts.
