Scanning documents thru the ADF for a 2 sided scan.  The front sides scan properly, however the image for the back side is black.  Why??

Please try updating the firmware to the latest version on HP.com.

If this doesn't work, you may have an issue with your hardware.  Please call the HP support number listed in your printer's documentation.

Hello,

Duplex or two side scanning via the ADF is a functionality of this printer.  When you say the the back side is blank it may be a result of the printer functionlity-is your printer model support duplex parinting?  If is does not, the output will be a blank back side of a page.  The printer needs to support duplex printing, in order to have a duplex ADF scan print in duplex.
