HP Color LaserJet MFP M277c6
macOS 10.12 Sierra

I am having trouble scanning more than one page with my new HP MFP M277c6.  If I use the Easy Scan option, I can successfully scan one page documents.  However, when I try to scan more than 1 page, the scanning pauses and I get the following error message despite the network connection showing full str:

"Scanner Reported an Error:  An error occurred while communicating with the scanner."

I was able to print more than one page once or twice since installing this device several weeks ago.  Obviously, being able to scan only a page at a time makes this product almost worthless for business scanning.

Any help would be appreciated.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the printer was working fine?
