I am trying to add a HP Photosmart C3180 All-in-One Printer to Windows 10 64 bit on a Thinkpad W540. After the installation process Windows reports it completed OK, but then says "Driver is unavailable" beside the printer. Event Log shows "Device USB\VID_03F0&PID_5611&MI_00\6&73dbda&4&0000 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match." Device Manager shows "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There are no compatible drivers for this device." I have tried several times and followed all the suggestions, run Print and Scan Doctor etc. Please help!
HP Photosmart C3180 All-in-One Printer [personal information removed] Product Number Q8160B.

Hi @David531 ,
I am a volunteer in this Community.
And well, that is a good question.
I don´t know why Support pages are missing these drivers.
I guess this is happening because HP Support pages has a policy about dismissal of drivers with printers that are 10 years older.
However, I know that a lot of people are still using these printer models,
well because they are still working 😊 and no need to buy a new printer.
I am going to ask if they could make available again these drivers for older printers,
but I believe that I am going to have the same answer about Support policy.
Anyways, the good news is the driver provided in previous answer worked perfectly.
Best regards,
ferRX.
