While trying to connect my HP Printer through the wireless network I keep getting a message that says
"The IP address entered is either incorrect, or it is from a different wireless network that has the same name as your network. Please confirm that your printer actually has this IP address address or enter the correct address below and click Search. Also confirm that your wireless network name is unique."
While running a diagnostics for the wireless network test results, everything says "PASS" and "excellent" and there is a message that says
"ATTENTION More than one access point/wirelss router has been found that matches your wireless network name (SSID). If this is not intended, your HP printer may connect to the wrong wireless network. To avoid this, change your wireless network name (SSID) to be unique. If you change your network name, you will need to configure the SSID on all wireless devices to match your new network SSID."

What is the IP of your router? What is the IP of your printer? Router have separate SSID for 2.4 and 5.0 bands?
Reset the printer back to Network Defaults. This should reset it to DHCP in case you have a static IP set.

Hi,
Alternatively, you can connect to the printer using WiFi Direct connection.
This connection type (Wifi Direct) connects your Mobile device/computer Wifi directly to your printer and does not requires Wifi Router and is the preferred way i would use PROVIDED i do not need to continue the connection to the Wifi router network for surfing.
Do also remember to reconnect back to your WIFI router network to get internet connection after printing.
The password to connect to your printer Direct Wifi is either in the front panel display of the printer or you need to print it out by holding the WIFi button for 3 sec.
Hope this helps.
Click the 'Kudos Thumbs Up' if this was helpful. Thank You!
