HP Color LaserJet 3500 Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot seem to download the drive. My computer is looking for a .inf file but when I unzip it is a .rfu. that is the work around?

Hello, @LHIV - Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums! I'd be glad to be of your assistance!

I understand that you are unable to get the Windows 10 drivers for your LaserJet 3500 printer. You need to install the printer using the Windows built-in drivers since this is an older model.

Simply turn on the printer and connect the USB cable from the printer to the PC. Now click http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL44939/fp-148007-1/Dot4x64.msi to install the USB drivers. Follow the online instructions once you run the file.

The drivers will be installed in 2-3 minutes. Go to Control panel - Devices and printers to check the printer entry and make it as default printer if needed.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂
