HP Envy 4500
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am having trouble installing the required software for my HP Envy 4500 printer. I keep getting the error:

  • Error 126: Failed to add port monitor HP Discovery Port Monitor (HP Envy 4500 series).

I have the printer set up fine on another computer and I can use all functions from it with no issue.

I have tried disabling firewalls/antivirus on my system (Windows, Avira, Malwarebytes) and still get the same error.

I am running Windows 7, 64 bit on a Lenovo W520.

Any tips?
