Hi @KaretiChop,

I see that you are having issues scanning from the computer. I would be happy to help you.

Download and try to repair the WIA drivers. If you don't feel comfortable about doing these steps, you can contact the computer manufacturer or Microsoft to resolve this WIA error.

Back up the registry first. How to back up and restore the registry in Windows.

Restore Default Startup Type for Windows Image Acquisition (WIA).

If you are still having issues, I would suggest to uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

That IS the problem. The hp scan to network requires a password with your windows user account. So go to your windows credentials in control panel and create a user account password for the administrator account. Once I did this, that error message went away.

Crazy that all these steps were posted to figure this out...

I had the same issue, but you can't trust the Wizard's default settings

Use the scan wizard > edit >and use the IP address not the actual name of the computer.

Check and double check your credentials.  You must have a user name and password and try to make sure it is a local admin.

No problems after that.   So much for "specialists".
