Hi,

I am unable to update the printer software on my HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4675 all in one.

 - When I try to update the software through printer screen ui, the download finishes, printer tries to update the software and message "The Update was Unsuccessful" is displayed.

 - When I try to update the printer firmware through my computer, the printer restarts and  error code "0XB81E688E" is displayed on the printer screen. Needs restart.

I have tried factory reset but same thing is happening.

Please help me in getting the issue resolved.

Regards,

Deepak

Hi @dpkrajput,

Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. As I understand you are getting a '0x' error message on your HP DeskJet printer. I'll be really glad to help you with this,

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Did you make any changes to the printer before the issue started?

Have you made any software or hardware changes on the printer?

Was there any power failure?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Please make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a Hard reset on the printer.

* With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

* Remove USB cable, if present.

* Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

* Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

* Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.

Please follow the steps suggested in the support document for - '0xc19a0005' Error or Similar Error Displays - Click here

If the issue persists, I would suggest this could be a printer hardware. I would recommend you contact our HP phone support for available service options. Please fill in the product details to get the tech support number.

Hi,

I followed all the steps as mentioned, but the issue was not resolved. Even took the support over chat from HP, where the support person tool control of my computer and tried to update the firmware multiple times, but everytime the update was unsuccessful. In the end she said that the firmware on the printer is corrupt.

Corrupt firmware, from HP itself...couldn't get any better than this. What happened to yout quality control, HP?

Deepak
