Color Laserjet 2605
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I need some guidance on upgrading my printer drivers. I have had HP printers for many years and until recently they were working properly. I am in the Windows Insider program and apparently as a result of a pre-release build I started haveing proplems  printing. The most obvious was that only part of a doucument would print; Ie; graphics such as lines, boxes, etc. would print but no text would print. The second major problem is that printing PDF files is extremely slow.   After much trial and error I found that instead of using the HP supplied drivers as I always had choosing one called HP Color LaserJet 2605 PCL6 Class Driver would work. (Previous drivers did not have the work Class) At least an entire document would print, text and all but the PDF printing is still extremely slow. Is this a HP supplied driver or one supplied by Microsoft? What I would like to do is uninstall both the LaserJet and my HP Officejet and reinstall them with the HP supplied driver upd-pcl6-x64-6.3.0.21178 which, I gather from reading the release notes would fix my problem with the slow PDF printing.

What is the best way to go about applying this upgrade? I have read the UPD Admin  Guide but it seems to be written for server type installations and has only left me a bit confused.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
