Hi, I sell online and have been using this printer for years now and have had zero issues until yesterday.  It's primary use is to print labels from PayPay, eBay, and Amzon.  The day before yesterday I was sucessful in printing these labels and then yesterday when I went to print more, I got a "waiting for printer to become available" error.  I read older forums from 2013-14 and tried to troubleshoot the issue from those forums, but no luck.  The printer will print a test page, so I know it is reading my Mac and can assume it's not the USB cable, but it will not print from Keynote, my email or the websites I listed above.  I have MacOS Sierra, not El Capitan. What else can I do?

Hi,

Try installing the drives package below to ensure the latest drivers persists on your system:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?locale=en_US

Once done rebot yoru Mac and try adding the pritner again.

If the same persists try resetting the printing system as following:

*Be aware that resetting the printer system will remove any existing print queue and reset any customized driver settings.

Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences .
Select Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl + click) your product in the Printers list in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system .
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user Name and Password .
Click OK . The printing system resets.

Next click the plus sign and re-add the printer, be sure to select the printer model within the Use drop down menu.

If that won't help try a different USB cable and check for any difference.

Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.

Just bought a new USB cable.  Not the problem.  I also did the other suggestions you listed.  Anything else?
