I see that you are getting blinking lights on your Deskjet 990 series printer. Do not worry, I found a wonderful document which will help you isolate and diagnose this issue.

 

Go to http://hp.care/2nu3uvH to troubleshoot and fix this issue. Select the correct blinking light combination and follow the steps mentioned to fix the issue.
