I have inherited an HP Deskjet F4580 wireless capable. I wanted to installet to my wireless network; but, my network in addition to the WEP security also uses MAC Address filtering. Where or how can I determine such address for the printer? There is no label or the like with the number in this printer.

Using Win XP Pro SP3. Any help will be highly appreciated

Hi,

Print a netowrk configuration page by following the steps below:

  1. Make sure that plain white paper is loaded in the product.

  2. On the HP product control panel, press and hold the Scan button (view.gif ) for two seconds.

The product prints the configuration page.

You will find the hardware mac address listed within the Wireless (802.11) section.
