HP Recommended
Product: Officejet Pro 8600
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

Our 8600 officejet has died.  We want a unit to replace that one, which is dead, that uses the same set of 950 and 951 cartridges because we have two extra sets of them.  Cannot find a reliable answer to that on the HP site or a listing of whether 950 and 951 work on printers that call for other cartridge numbers.

The following printers are compatible with the HP 950 and 951 cartridges.  I beleive all these are discontinued but may still be available on Amazon or at some retailers.

 

If you chose to get a different HP model you may be able to have HP exchange the cartrdiges.  For cartridge exchange of HP cartrdiges unopened and in-warranty see the post here.
