I have printer set up for wireless connection and full software (current ver) installed on 2 PC's - both W10 64 bit.
Scenario is pretty simple ... working on my PC, I print or scan ... and complete what I want to do.
I go to Laptop ... when I open HP Solution Center - printer is shown as 'disconnected' ... or go to direct print from an application and it is shown as 'off line'
Printing fails.
If I go to HP Solution Center and select 'guided solution' ... and then 'bring printer online' it seems to work about 50% of the time.
However although it the prints the doc in teh queue ... it still shows as disconnected - and next print will again fail.
Is there any setting or configuration chnages I can make to avoid having to do this ... whole point of going Wireless printing was to allow multiple devices to print.
The fault is the same if I start with Laptop - then PC does not print when I go to that.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP Photosmart Premium Fax e-All-in-One Printer - C410b and it seems to print intermittently. When you open HP Solution Center, it shows that the printer is shown as 'disconnected'.
I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
I did some research and found that the HP Solution Center is not compatible with Windows 10 and I believe we need to install the updated drivers for Win10.
The printer seems to be connected well because it responds to print commands. Let us uninstall the existing print drivers from root level and then reinstall them:
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
Once you perform the above steps, please download and install the drivers from this link: http://hp.care/2kdKMbY
Hope this information helps. Feel free to let me know how it goes. Cheers! 🙂

I am a little confused here.
The driver version you advise to install is the lastest software pack that I have installed (2 weeks ago)
In both cases it installed HP solution Centre ..... is there no supported software for W10 ???
How am I going to scan, adjust scan, cut/crop/colour, align printhead, clean printhead etc.
W10 is now the only suported version from Microsoft I can no longer run W7.
I accept HP may have to withdraw an application - but this is what it gives on line for this printer ?
Is there an alternative app ?
On the actions you want -
In control panel do you want me to delete the Photsmart C410 and the Photosmart C410 fax
Is there any point as it will install the same thing again ?
I downloaded the latest driver pack for both PC & laptop only 2 weeks ago - it is what is shown for my printer.

Thank you for your reply. 🙂
I did some research and found that you are correct. The driver file "PS_AIO_07_C410_140_408-5.exe" is a universal driver created to work with Win XP to Win 10 operating systems. That is the reason why it contains the HP solution center. Usually, the newer drivers that are specifically developed for Win10 do not contain the HP solution center embedded in them.
Therefore, the solution center is also getting installed and later does not work. A workaround for this is to use the HP Scan and Capture app that has been designed especially for Win 8 and Win10.
You may ignore to reinstall the printer drivers if you have installed them before.
Hope this information heps. Keep me posted. Cheers!

2 things
# Do I need to uninstall the HP Solution Centre
# Can you report that the HP solution Centre does not work correctly on W10 - yet is lsisted as the right software for W10 - hopefully it will get fixed.

This is still an issue.
Again today .. printed on PC
Switched to Lap top and I start print (without using Solution Centre) ... it starts teh print process ... get the HP popup window form task bar telling me it is printing ....
but it fails with error printer can't find document (strange error msg)
If I run scan & Print doctor it detects correct printer and then advises it cannot communicate - reboot printer, reboot router
I do that it may fix it or I may have to reboot laptop.
This in now very unreliable
Nothing wrong with printer to hub WiFi as PC is printing fine.
From Laptop is I ping they printer it responds fine.
I have installed HP Scan & Capture … but that does not give a print function.
I have installed the drivers you mentioned (part of the full install pack I advised)

Thank you for getting back to me. 🙂
I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the drivers on the laptop though which the printer does not print. Seems like a driver issue. You have right diagnosed that the connectivity is good.
The HP Scan and Capture is purely for scanning only.
Let me know. Cheers!
