HP LaserJet 1018
Windows 7

This problem started recently.  When I try to print on two sides, the first side prints, then the small window that used to appear with instructions for removing and re-inserting the page for the printing of the second side doesn't appear.   That means there's no "continue" button to click on because that is in the same window.  So I can't print the second side.

Any suggestions on what's wrong and how to fix it??

Hi @msdop ,

I see that you are experiencing issues printing manually two-sided, the window isn't coming up to continue printing on the other side of the page. I will certainly do my best to help you.

There are a couple of different things you can try to resolve this issue.

Restore your computer back to a earlier time when everything was working properly. It might have been a update that caused this issue.  System Restore for Windows 7.

Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?

Uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

Uninstalling the Printer Software.

Windows 7 64 bit drivers: HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver.

Windows 7 32 bit drivers: HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

Have a great day!
Thank You.

First,  I tried the Print and Scan Doctor.  It ran through the process and didn't report any issues, but when I then tried to print on both sides, everything was fine.  So apparently, the issue was resolved by this method.

Thank you!
