LaserJet 5100tn
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently purchased upgraded HP PC running Windows 10 64 bit.
Printer is a LaserJet 5100tn with PostScript. Graphics software is CorelDraw 18

Downloaded and installed Universal PS Driver from HP site but it is not communicating correctly.

This is a serious problem for my business and I really don't wish to buy a new printer. This one is

a warrior and no reason to get rid of.
I read on the CorelDraw forum that HP universal driver is a problem.

Just hoping HP techs have realized this and there is a more specific driver or fix somewhere out there

Thanks

Hi TopDawgJim,

After upgrade to Windows 10, some old printers need reinstall driver or firmware.

If you downloaded and installed lastest Universal PS Driver from HP site (version "6.3.0.21178") but it is not your problem, you try reinstall with older drivers.

You can search and download all version HP Universal PS Drivers at:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/UPD/

Note: Some old printers work fine with version "6.0.0.18449".

P/S: I do not work for HP.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
