HP LaserJet Pro m1536dnf MFP
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

In many computer in my office, we are having trouble with HP LaserJet Pro m1536dnf MFP printer. When we try to change few things from its properties, "Windows Explorer has stopped working" shows up. In that error windows:
Problem Event name: BEX

Appication name: explorer.exe

Fault module name: hppccompio.dll

So, we cannot print on 2 sides, and cannot share our printer to other people.

Any who can help? It is very urgent matter?

Hi @Jimure ,

I see that you are getting a "Windows Explorer has stopped working" error when trying to access the printer properties.
I would like to help you out today.

I would suggest to download and install the HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6.

This if for a quick fix which should resolve your issue.

If you would prefer to use the HP Full Software, please follow these steps:

We are going to rename the driver folder to see if this will resolve the issue.

Click Start ( ), type run in search, then type spool, click drivers, click w32x86 (if 32 bit ), rename the 3 folder by right clicking the 3 folder and left clicking rename and type in 3old and press the enter key.
Then uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

Please let me know the results.

Have a nice day!
Thank You.
