Printer: HP Envy 4502.

Problem: WiFi Direct des not work with laptop (Win 😎 or Android (Samsung S-4) phone.

My Android S-4 phone is set for hotspot and my laptop will comunicate thru hotspot to Internet to printer (also on hotspot network).

If my laptop is connected to a public network it will not communicate with my hotspot(different IP) so I want to print directly from laptop to printer using WiFi Direct. Not only does it not work, my S-4 under WiFi Direct does not 'see' the printer.

what are you talking about? my wireless printer and computer are connected to the same network. the drivers and software are installed on my computer. wireless direct is turned on for the printer. 

 

what more can be done??!?!?! it still does not work?
