auto change paper source

I have a new 8630 and I print large page numbe documents that go back and forth between 8.5x11 and 8.5x14.  I have the 8.5x11 in tray 1.  I need the printer to automatically select the proper paper size while it is printing the document.  How or what do I set to make the printer do this?

Hi  Vegas Jack,

There are two ways to set the default paper size on the tray.

Option 1:

1) Enter the Setup Menu on the device screen.

2) Select Paper Handling.

3) Select paper selection.

4) This will show the trays and default media size set for that tray. Click on this and change to the media size you want to set as default.

Option 2: [Valid only if your laptop/PC and Printer is connected to the same network and has a valid IP address]

1) Type the IP address of the printer and hit enter in a browser to view the Embedded Web Server page of the printer.

2) Navigate to Settings Page.

3) Click on Paper Settings under Preferences.

4) In this page you will be able to set the default media type for each tray the printer has.

Thannks Olilloyd.  I tried you solution, but there is no cue for "paper handling" on my printer in "set up".  There is only "tray selection" and I have alread tried that with no results.  Help me find "Paper Handling", if you can, please.
