@bunyberries

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP OfficeJet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer and while printing bank statements, some parts of the statement are blacked out. The same statements print fine via other printers. You were using Firefox before and the issue persists while using internet explorer too. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • What version of Windows are you using?
  • Have you tried using Google Chrome and checked if it prints the statement fine?
  • Is the printer able to print and copy other documents fine?

Meanwhile, I suggest you to download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor software. HP Print and Scan Doctor is a free tool for Windows to help resolve printing and scanning problems.

I hope this information helps. Please reply for further assistance. Cheers! 🙂
