hi i mistakenly brought Hp 680 cartridge instead of 678 can i use it on my printer HP 3545e

No,

The 680 cartridge is intended for other printer models such as the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3635 printer, not for the 3545 printer.

 

I suggest going back to the retailer and check for any option to get a replacement cartridge for your printer.
