Hi, my name is Faron. I can scan from my computer when i'm in devices and printers. My propblem there is that i can't save as a pdf. The only thing is tif,jpg and about 3 others.

If i try to scan from my printer screen, I get a message that says scanner could be in use, printer not connected to computer or ocr application not installed. I think it's possibly the ocr application. this is a new deskop we're installing on.

Hi,

Please try

  • open HP Printer Assisstant software (double click printer icon on desktop),
  • select Scan a Document or Photo

Can you see Save as Editable Text (OCR) shoutcut (icon) as shown ?

If not, please install printer software and drivers on your computer properly.

Regards.
