cannot access scanner element of hp photosmart c6280 all-in-one

Installed hpprinterdrivers5.0 and still does not open scanner on my hp photosmart c6280 all-in-one. The hp photosmart c6280 all-in-one is also connected to a PC and the scanner works fine on the PC.

How is the printer connected to the comp?

 if its a USB then please follow this steps

Hi,

Download and install the newest full featured software and drivers from the HP web site here & try again.

Full feature software needs to be installed for the scanner to work.

This printer is networked with a PC and the PC works fine with the printer.  Today the printer does not even work.

As I have said, I installed the recommened software and it still doesn't work.  In fact, I could use the printer aspect of the hp photosmart C6280 all-in-one  until then.  Now cannot connect at all.
