Product: Officejet pro 6960
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra
I intalled a new HP black cartridge, told to align same which I did. Then I was told to scan the printed align page. Error message stated cannot scan page, try again which I did. Still no san.

I understand that the alignment is failing on your printer. Not to worry, I will be glad to guide you.
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?
Please follow the procedure mentioned in this HP Article for assistance with the issue you are facing.
