HP Envy 5660

I have changed the ink cartridges and I keep getting a message to remove and reinstall the indicated in cartridge making sure it is correctly installed. I have done this several times, watched video to make sure I did it right. They both clicked into place with no problem. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Printer won't alighn manually or any way and can't print anything. I don't understand what the problem with the ink cartridges are.

Hello vickitole,

I'd suggest you to do the following..

  1. While the printer is ON, remove both the ink cartridges.
  2. Power Off the printer, wait for 30 seconds and then Power ON the printer.
  3. When printer promts you to install ink cartridges, install the TRI-COLOR cartridge only, and close the cover.
  4. Check if the error persits, if yes then issue could be with the TRI -COLOR cartridge.
  5. If NO, then the printer may display "Single Cartridge Mode" and you may continue.
  6. Now remove the Tri-Color Cartridge and install only the BLACK cartridge.
  7. Check if the error persits, if yes then issue could be with the BLACK  cartridge.
  8. If NO, then the printer may display "Single Cartridge Mode" and you may continue.
  9. If issue still persists, click HERE to access steps that should resolve this issue.

Jabzi
