hi i have a customers designjet 800 here that displays the maintenance advised message!  the plotter has the latest firmware and ive cleared the counters ony the service station counter refuses to clear,  this service station was installed about a year ago and  the white absorber pad it still showing some white so its no where near being at the end of its count.  ive reset the counters and left the plotter unplugged for a couple minutes and still get the same results!   anyone dealt with this and know how to actually clear this message?

thanks

ok figured this out i tried swapping out the service station and it let me 0 it out but after powercycling the plotter the maintenance message was still there.  i had to actually use the reset to defaults option listed in the eeprom menu of the servie utilities was the only thing that cleared the msg!

You may have to change the service station.  What you can try is to put in a used service station that has not been in this machine and do the reset and it should work.  You can then put back the original one.  Just a thought.
