Maybe the front panel assembly has gone bad.  Just a guess.  C7796-60208

Stupid question here but on this plotter when you plug in the power cord, the green light comes on and the hour glass symbol will appear for a few seconds and then everything will sort of shut down.  At this point you have to press the power button on the front of the plotter for it to turn on and initialize.  Is this what you are doing and do you get the hour glass symbol on the menu when you first plug in the power?

No green light, no hour glass. When I plug it in after about 15 seconds there's a long beeb sound.
Then it's just dead

Here is what you need to do.  First with the power cord disconnected, remove the network card from the rear.  Also remove all printheads and ink cartridges.  If you have the roll loaded remove the paper from the path.  Now plug in the printer and see what happens.  This machine came with the 615N network card which is known to develop issues.  It could cause what is happening.  Also a bad printhead or ink cartridge could cause an electrical issue.  The fact that you are getting a beep sound indicates that power is reaching and being processed and there is something interfering with the initialization of the printer.  If the printer boots with the items removed, first put back the printheads and ink cartridges since you can do this with the power on.  If all is ok, load the paper and see if the printer takes it ok.  If that works ok, then that would indicated the network card has an issue.  If you use the network card for connection to your network or computer, then there is a chance you can repair it.  If you do not use it, then just leave it out of the printer.  If you need it you can bake it and maybe bring it back to life.  To bake you remove the back plastic piece and then take the card and place in a baking pan with the chips facing up and the card propped up so it does not touch the bottom of the pan.  Now preheat a good oven to 350F (177C) and when the oven is ready, place the pan with the card in the oven for 8 minutes.  Remove and let cool for 15 minutes.  Put the back plastic piece back on and insert in the printer with the power cord removed.  Put the power cord back in and when ready, turn on the plotter and odds are it will now work.  Good luck.

Took out network card, print heads. And print cartridges. Plugged back in and nothing happens. Not even a beep
Thanks for any additional info you may have

You probably have a bad power supply.  One other thing you could try first is to remove the roll.  Remove the cleanout piece in the back and put it back in.  Plug the power cord into the oulet on the plotter and not the outlet on the roll feed and see if you at least get power.

Do you know of any tutorial on changing the power supply?

Thank you for your help it is greatly appreciated.

Update:
I opened the clean out in the back, unplugged usb cable. Plugged everything back in and it powered up with no display on screen except hour glass. It ran an alignment test on its own and then I was able to print. When I hit the power button to shut down it had no response, it wouldn't turn off and there was no display on the screen. In the system maintenance program on my computer it was showing ink levels. I unplugged it to shutdown and now it won't start up. Back to the original problem.
