Rebuilt computer, reinstalled all software, computer "sees" printer, however will NOT print.

Installed printer and software on other computer, runs just fine. Ran ALL troubleshooting and still no printing.

Now what? (the other computer is at work, but I need this for my home printer...where it doesn't want to print)

If on the other hand, there are error messages, what are they? What operating system? USB or wireless connectivity? Any info here will be helpful, if that document did not help that is.

OS: Vista home premium SP2

connectivity: USB

Scan Doc shows everything OK......but no test print

did every task suggested in document......no cigar

Even tried this: Deskjet 710/720/810/820/100 Series printers - Patch for 64 bit Vista and WIndows 7

....no cigar there either

 

Only error message received was that computer could not communicate with printer

Okay so it won't print, will it scan from the computer? If not is it the same error message?

Any security (anti-virus/firewall/malware) software running? Those can be challenging to setup so that all communication with peripheral devices is without issue.

i am using hp deskjet 1000 my printer does not print anything i have done the following things -

Checked Ink level,clean ink cartedges,align ink cartedges,clean printer but enen the diagnostic information is not been printed every time i try to print the printer sounds normal & a blank page is left out kindly help me

Tried everything. Downloads, countless hours searching the internet, hp support and nothing. still when i go to print my printer model doesn't show up for me to select. Hp e-print does but not mine
