- deskjet 3054 not printing

I am running on Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
I brought out my old Deskjet 3054 and installed it but it does not print anything. I tried running a print test many times, left it alone and over night and retried this morning, but it does not work. Ink supply levels are not low, could the ink be dried up?
Also, on my Mac, the printer is called Deskjet 3050, not the correct 3054.
Please Help!

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.
I understand that your HP Deskjet 3050A Printer does not print after setup.
Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help fix this issue.
This issue could occur if the cartridges are expired or dried up.
And here's the step by step guide to set up the printer in the link: Setting Up the Printer Hardware
If the issue persists, then try with a new set of cartridges.

I understand that print quality is not good even after replacing the cartridge and also the brand new cartridge shows as low on ink.
This could be a hardware issue with the printer.

Since It's a hardware issue we cannot do much in this situation.
You have to contact HP support and get service options.
