Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have an 845c printer and recently I I upgraded my windows 7 from 32 to 64b and since that the computer do not succeed to identify the printer. I also tried to run the orginal driver of the printer but it doesn't allow me to do so.

what can I DO?

Hi:

 

See if this works...

 

Download and save, but do not run the 2nd driver listed at the link below.  That is the 64 bit driver.

Download and install this free file utility.   The 2nd file at the top of the page is for 64 bit.

 

http://www.7-zip.org/

 

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the driver file you saved and select 7-Zip from the menu.

 

Have 7-Zip Extract to:  And let it extract the file into its folder name.

 

Once that is done, use the add printer wizard and when you get to the part where you need to install the driver, click on Have Disk and browse to the driver folder 7-Zip created>prnhp001 and select the hp deskjet 845c from the list, and the driver should install.
