After reading some instructions online, I thought I had successfully disabled banner page printing on our laserjet P4014.  As you can see here:

Basically,  I went to the copier's advanced settings under Networking -> TCP/IP -> Advanced and disabled LPD banner page.

But it's still printing a page before every job that states:  "REMOTE USER Job #" at the top

Even under the main Settings menu (tab at top) -> Configure Device (option in left panel) -> Expand the following: Configure Device -> I/O -> Embedded JetDirect Menu -> Information

You get the following:

All I can say is, what the heck.  This is ridiculous.  Any input?

The banner page being printed is possibly being generated by the system which is sending the print job to the printer, or perhaps by an intermediate system (if using some sort of remote session access), rather than by the LPD responder in the printer.

If you attach an image of a sample banner page, perhaps some-one will recognise where (and what type of system) it may be coming from.
