This may be too simple of a solution. Had similar problem with HP 6500 aio. My printer had same symptoms. I found that I had checked "Use Printer Offline" box. Unchecked box, now works fine.

I have tried your remedy and it works. But I have logdo it everytime I print! In the print queue, it says the last page of the document is yet to print.

The method of fixing the docmument in the que does not work on windows 10. I've followed instrucctions carefully. This is really nasty. And it happens all the time. Functionally useless computer, can not reliably print.
