Hi @Jambomama ,

I see that you are having issues with the display showing "document loaded". I will do my best to help you.

Usually when the display shows this message for the document loaded, there is a piece of paper in the Automatic Document Feeder. If you have a paper there, remove it. There is a little black plastic piece that sticks up that when the paper is loaded it moves it to indicate that a document is loaded on the ADF. Check to make sure it isn't broken ora piece of paper stuck in the ADF.

I have provided a picture to give you a idea for where to look inside the ADF.

You might have to do a hard reset.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.

How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

Have a nice day!
Thank You.
