We replaced our duplex module, but still receive the message below everytime we print -- and it won't print until we hit "OK". How can we make it stop?
MESSAGE: The service ink container in the duplex module is full. At some point, ink smears on your ptintouts may occur. Obtain a replacement duplex moduel from HP to avoid ink smears. Use care when removing tghe duplex module to avoid touching the ink in the container area and any that may be on the roller or nearby sufaces. [OK button]

Hello CCMW:
Did you go through the steps on the Support Menu when you replaced the duplex module? There should be a step that resets the service ink detection mechanism. In the list of HP OfficeJet Pro X476 and x576 MFP Series error messages (linked below) there is a section for "Service Ink Capacity Warning ", which seems to match what you are seeing. It sounds to me like the detection mechanism was not reset. Perhaps following through these steps from that list will reset it and stop the error message:
Open the Support Menu by pressing the Back button four times.
Scroll to System Configuration Menu, and then touch the OK button.
Scroll to Service ink container Or Duplex module, and then touch the OK button.
Scroll to Replace duplex module, and then touch the OK button.
Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.

Hope this helps.

I am an HP employee and speak for myself (not for HP).
I would recommend trying the following:
1. Open the Support Menu by pressing the Back button four times.
2. Scroll to System Configuration Menu, and then touch the OK button.
3. Scroll to Service ink container Or Duplex module, and then touch the OK button.
4. Scroll to Replace duplex module, and then touch the OK button.
I hope that helps. If it doesn't, you might try contacting hp support through hp.com
