@not-me (either) 😛
Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand you need details on eCCL & eFCL,
I must let you know that they are one of the many security features using to protect the printer on an established WiFi connection,
There are no specific details available that define each of these features and seeing that you only need to secure the setup, I suggest you attempt the steps listed on this link:
Click here to understand the Embedded security features and establish a safe network.
Click here to access your user guide and collate more details on a safe and secured network.
Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
That'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.

Thank you Riddle_Decipher for your response. However, i had already checked the user guide and didn't find anything. The only reference i found is in the firmware update fix:
Removed eCCL copy protocol and eFCL fax protocol entries from appearing on the Networking - Advanced page of the Embedded Web Server for devices that do not support fax and copy.

Thank you for the update,
I appreciate your time and efforts,
It looks like the security feature isn't that important as the fix seems to remove it once the update is installed,
I don't believe we need to research or spend time understanding the feature given the circumstances.
That said, If you still need to know what they are for, I can check with my research team about it, although, that may take some time, so please let me know if you are willing to wait.
