easy start "waiting" in Mac OS X

I also have an issue with my HP Photosmart 5510 series printer when trying to print from my mac (running OS Sierra 10.12.3) The printer is successfully wirelessly connected to the network via the Sky router. I initially had connection issues when trying to print so I have checked all mac updates are up-to-date, and tried to download the latest software and drivers from the HP support pages, I have also gone down the route of installing Hp Easy Start and after downloading various software, it has been sat "loading" for about an hour with no progress.

Install the printer with the following software:

>> Photosmart 5510 - Mac OS X installer

I'm having the exact same issuet with 10.12.3 and a Laserjet Pro M402n. I can download HP Easy Start, and it installed (it said it did), but then it just sits there spinning. Is there a direct link to download the software I need? Thanks.
