Photosmart Premium C410
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I recently downloaded the driver from this HP site for my printer. The shortcut icon that is labeled "eprinter Center" has a error message when I try to open it.  The message is;

Your connection is not private. Attachers might be trying to steal your information from h20563.www2.hp.com (for example, passsword, messages, or credit cars). NET;ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

I have found that this has to do with an invalid security certifiate, but I can not find how to fix the problem.

Of note: the shortcut icon is labled "eprinter center" as opposed to eprint.  Not sure if htat matters.

Please help.

Thanks you.

Hello, @KrystalClear – Hope you are well 🙂

Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a great location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

I see that you are having issues while installing the drivers. I’d suggest you perform a clean install to try and fix the issue:

  • First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Photosmart printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to the Run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Now click http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL34152/mp-109793-3/PS_AIO_07_C410_140_408-5.exe to install the software.
  • Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Good luck 🙂
