HP 6830

I am getting an error message saying 'there is a problem with your printhead.'   I have followed the troubleshooting advice which was to switch off then on again, and if not fixed, printer needs serviced.   I got the printer from work and no longer work there now, it is around 9 months old.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One Printer and it displays an error saying "there is a problem with your printhead." I appreciate the steps you have performed and have done a great job. Not to worry though as I have a suggestion.

I suggest you to go through this link for detailed information on what needs to be done when this error appears on your HP printer: http://hp.care/2kUkyJG

I hope this information helps. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. Take care! 🙂

Hi, thank you very much for your response.   I have gone through the whole lot of support options at HP, given my Product number and my serial number, but I don't have my service number, and it keeps reverting me back to the troubleshooting page, despite the fact you advised that the printer either needs a service or I may be due a replacement.   My printer is less than a year old, and there seems to be no one on HP I can directly contact.   Please help!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.
Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum

Hi there,

Thank you for passing this on.   I got an email from Jeff who is taking up the problem for which I am grateful.

I will post here what the solution is, so that others can see how HP (hopefully!) were able to fix my problem.

Kind regards

Fiona

Hi again,

I am sorry to say I am getting absolutely no help from Jeff.   He sent me at least three emails asking for the information which I have already posted here before he could investigate, each time I replied and each time he then got back to me saying he didn't have the information.

I am getting to the stage where I believe that HP just do not want to offer help.

Please could you pass this to someone other than Jeff as he is doing nothing except batting emails back and forth to me, rather than trying to resolve my issue.

Hi again,

Jeff has just got in touch again, saying he hasn't received this info AGAIN!!   he says he is concerned that I am saying he isn't helping, but  I have replied twice already with the information he has asked for and he hasn't got back to me.   I don't want to display my personal details here on an open forum (this is what Jeff is asking for).   the latest note I sent to Jeff with my info was 29th March.

Are the private mails I am getting to my email address spam?   PLEASE HELP!!!

Thank you
FionaP1
