After installing a local printer without an issue I'm unable to print as a standard domain user. The print job is sent to the printer but nothing shows up in the queue. Instead in event viewer I'm left with the following error "The print spooler failed to load a plug-in module C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\UniDrvUI.dll, error code 0x5"
I've checked to see that error code 0x5 is a denial of acces and so this issue only occurs on non admin accounts. I'm able to print from the local and domain admin accounts. I've tried turning down UAC settings to never notify. I've tried giving the account Power User permissions. I've changed the permissions to UnIDrvUI.dll to full in hopes that it would work. The only thing that worked for me was to give the user local admin rights. I would like to avoid this so hopefully someone else knows the solution to this issue. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @AzizAFB,
Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums for a solution to your printing issue.
I understand that you are using an HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer with a Windows 7 computer and the installation seemed to be OK, but when you tried to print there was a spooler error. I would like to help with that.
I would start by downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool can find and fix many printer and printing software issues.

Hi @AzizAFB,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Next I would uninstall all software and drivers associated with the printer. Here is a support document for reference if needed - Uninstalling the Printer Software (Windows).
Try using the HP Printer Install Wizard for the installation. This tool will find the most recent version of the printers software and help with the install.

Hi @AzizAFB,
I was searching this error on the Windows Community Forums and found that similar issues have been resolved by uninstalling the drivers and then downloading and installing just the basic drivers for the printer. source
You can get to the download page for the basic drivers by clicking here.

Hi @AzizAFB,
Thanks for getting back again. I have exhausted my resources on this issue. I would contact HP Tech Support by phone as they may have some additional resources that may help lead to a resolution. Creating a posting on the Microsoft Community Forums may be another option.
